Waterford is Ireland’s Oldest City, with this package you get to learn about all the magnificent history this city holds. Visit the Medieval Museum which is Ireland’s only purpose-built medieval museum and the only building on the island to incorporate two medieval chambers, the 13th century Choristers’ Hall and the 15th century Mayor’s Wine Vault. The museum galleries feature some of the great treasures of medieval Ireland and Europe, including the unique 4 metre long illuminated Great Charter Roll of Waterford (1373) as well as the sumptuous cloth-of-gold vestments (1460). So much to explore in this wonderful building.
Then take to the skies on a Helicopter Pleasure Flight from Waterford Airport. Take in the stunning views of the Waterford Viking Triangle from above and see the famous Reginald’s Tower, Christchurch Cathedral, the beautiful Georgian Bishop’s Palace and the award winning Medieval Museum. Whilst you admire the breath-taking countryside, your pilot will point out the local landmarks. Gradually the helicopter returns gently to earth.
