We have now launched the ‘Other Voices: Ordinary People, Extraordinary Lives’ exhibition, exploring the remarkable untold story of Waterford and the 1916 Rising, on the top floor of the beautiful Georgian Bishop’s Palace.

There was a great turn out on Thursday the 24th March, where the Mayor of Waterford City & County Council, Cllr. John Cummins performed the opening ceremony with the Director of Waterford Treasures, Mr. Eamonn McEneaney.

The top floor of the Bishop’s Palace has been re-vamped and now includes the story of glass making in the City, from the Penrose family who started producing glass in the 1700’s up to modern day, which is now the icon brand, the ‘House of Waterford Crystal’.
